Swedish Body Massage Training

Accredited CPD Training | £395

Develop the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to deliver professional Swedish body massage treatments through two days of hands-on practical training.

Massage is a wonderful foundation for a career within holistic and wellbeing therapies and can open the door to many additional specialist massage treatments in the future.

Throughout your training you'll learn the fundamental Swedish massage movements and, importantly, understand how and why they're used.

Rather than simply memorising a massage routine, we'll spend two practical training days developing your technique, pressure, positioning, body mechanics and treatment flow so you can confidently adapt your massage to the individual client.

Who is this course for?

This course is ideal if you're looking to begin offering professional massage treatments or develop your existing therapy skills.

It may be perfect for you if:

  • You're beginning a career within holistic therapies

  • You're an existing beauty or wellbeing therapist wanting to introduce massage

  • You'd like a strong foundation before progressing into additional specialist massage treatments

  • You want plenty of practical training rather than learning a full-body massage routine in a single day

  • You want to understand massage techniques rather than simply memorise a sequence

How your training works

Your learning begins before you attend Blossom Leaf.

You'll receive your comprehensive course manual and theory learning to complete at home before your practical training.

This allows us to dedicate as much of our time together as possible to developing your hands-on massage skills.

Two days of practical training

Your practical training takes place over two days, giving you time to learn, practise and develop your technique without trying to rush an entire full-body massage treatment into one session.

Day One — Building your foundations

We'll begin by developing the essential skills you'll use throughout your massage treatments.

We'll focus on therapist posture and body mechanics, client positioning and draping, pressure, massage mediums and the fundamental Swedish massage movements.

You'll begin practising massage techniques on different areas of the body, with individual guidance and feedback throughout.

Day Two — Developing your treatment

On your second day we'll build on the techniques developed during Day One.

You'll continue practising the full-body massage sequence while working on your treatment flow, transitions, pressure and ability to adapt techniques to your client.

We'll then bring everything together into a complete professional Swedish body massage treatment.

Having two practical days means there's time to revisit techniques, ask questions and refine areas you may have found more challenging on the first day.

What will I learn?

Your training includes:

  • Relevant anatomy and physiology

  • Health, safety and hygiene

  • Professional practice

  • Client consultation

  • Contraindications and precautions

  • Benefits and effects of massage

  • Preparing your treatment area

  • Client positioning and professional draping

  • Therapist posture and body mechanics

  • Massage mediums and their uses

  • Effleurage

  • Petrissage

  • Friction

  • Tapotement

  • Vibration

  • Massage techniques for different areas of the body

  • Developing a complete full-body massage sequence

  • Creating smooth transitions and treatment flow

  • Adapting pressure and techniques to the individual client

  • Client aftercare

More than learning a massage routine

Good massage is about much more than remembering which movement comes next.

Your posture, pressure, rhythm, transitions and ability to respond to the person you're treating all contribute to the quality of the massage you deliver.

This is one of the reasons I've chosen to deliver this course over two practical training days.

I want you to have time to practise.

Time to ask questions.

Time to receive feedback.

And importantly, time to develop confidence in what you're doing rather than feeling that you need to remember an entire full-body treatment after one intensive day.

My aim is for you to leave understanding how to create a massage that feels confident, professional and natural while developing your own style as a therapist.

Assessment & Certification

Your underpinning knowledge and practical skills will be assessed as part of your training.

You'll need to demonstrate that you can consult with your client, work safely and professionally and perform the massage techniques and treatment sequence to the required standard.

Following successful completion, you'll receive your Blossom Leaf Wellbeing accredited CPD certificate.

Your certificate can then be used when seeking appropriate professional insurance to offer Swedish massage treatments to paying clients.

Why train with Blossom Leaf?

Your training should give you more than a certificate. It should give you the confidence to actually use your new skills.

I'm Rachel, and I've worked within the holistic therapy industry for over two decades alongside many years within education and training. I'm also a qualified assessor and Internal Quality Assurer.

That combination means you're not simply learning from someone who knows how to perform massage — you're learning from someone who understands how to teach it, observe your technique and help you improve it.

Training at Blossom Leaf is deliberately personal and supportive, giving you time to practise, ask questions and receive individual feedback.

Your training includes:

  • Comprehensive pre-course theory and course manual

  • Two days of practical hands-on training

  • Small, supportive training environment

  • Individual tuition, guidance and feedback

  • Plenty of time to practise techniques

  • Accredited CPD certification following successful completion

  • Support as you take your new skills into your own treatment room

Come to learn a treatment. Leave understanding how to deliver it with confidence.
